Team JMG had the unique opportunity to travel to Seattle (Go Seahawks!) recently for a team retreat and to experience Jade perform at MOD Pizza’s Annual Leadership Meeting (if you don’t know their story, check them out!). Exciting, yes! Why? Because it was the first time since our new, carefully curated team got to meet in person, AND for several of us it was the first time we got to see Jade on stage. Needless to say, it was a WOW week for us, complete with goosebumps, tears, prayer, laughter, sisterhood, respect, some good old fashion competition (go Britt and Jade), and a lot of snacks (thank you, Katie for caring for our team like you do)!
The team retreat was the perfect week of dream storming, vision-sharing, and casting out into the universe what we believe we are capable of in the coming year. Huge, scary, exciting, purposeful initiatives (and tons of work) that we confidently laid out before our very eyes. Powerful initiatives that will create extraordinary impact! True story, when you lay your vision on paper, it then becomes reality and that’s exactly what happened FOR (not TO) us.
Now, let me breakdown the Jade experience. Which truly was and is an experience from tech check, costume change, performance, and everything in between, and NO Jade didn’t pay me or make me write this (she doesn’t even know yet)…so, lower the laughing eye roll…lol. I have had the good fortune throughout my career to attend some pretty amazing conferences/events with remarkable keynote speakers. Speakers who have lifted audiences, inspired them, and empowered them to unite with their colleagues, go back to the office, tackle those monumental projects, and create a wave of impact. Yes, I consider myself lucky to have sat in those seats as an audience participant.
Enter “The Jade Simmons” experience. Jade was (and is) NOT “just” a keynote, she was a mix of musical prowess and an onstage message powerhouse filled with purpose that LITERALLY spilled into the audience, like an unleashed force of nature! The audience didn’t even know what hit them. An absolute collision of sound and inspiration! When Jade took flight (haha IYKYK) on the piano it was shock and awe. As I stood in the back of the room filled with over one thousand attendees, I got to see magic unfold. Even the tech team could not contain their laughter, tears, dancing, and amazement at what they were witnessing. We were all BLOWN AWAY. As I panned out over the audience, all I could see were faces filled with wonder, a sense of renewal, acceptance, permission to re-imagine the old ways of thinking and doing, to new innovative ways to level up in uncharted territories. As the experience wrapped up, everyone jumped to their feet for a long standing O and then proceeded to follow Jade outside to get photos with her, but really, they wanted to talk in more depth and detail. They wanted to completely fill their hearts and minds with all the inspiration she had to offer. It was a tidal wave of impact, no other way to describe it and I’m so grateful that I got to see it all happen in real-time.
That one tiny shift in perspective from sitting in the audience to experiencing the performance behind the scene was not only exciting but beyond powerful. I was already a huge fan of JMG and have had the opportunity to watch Jade flourish in her purpose for the last few years, but the vibrant, luxe looking brand, her vision, mission, and commitment to help individuals become the biggest, boldest version of themselves just brings it home for me.
I’ve come to realize that Jade Media Global is engineered for purpose, filled with diverse shape-shifters who powerfully position individuals for breakthrough. I leave you with this question. What are you doing to prepare for your next season of breakthrough? Drop a comment and let us know, we’d love to hear from you!
